We have been so impressed with SnoSprings. The school community is warm and welcoming and very positive. The curriculum is rigorous yet the teachers come alongside students to help them in any way they need. The learning environment is fun and positive. The communication with teachers and the principal is open and clear and organized. The teachers are dedicated and invested in knowing each kid well. I would highly recommend SnoSprings to anyone looking for an enriching, positive, caring environment for their child.

There are multiple avenues for study, extra curricular activities and parent organizations in this school district. Every year more is added. My daughters had so many options, opportunities and support over the past 23 years. The staff really cares about the quality of education, balance, student and parent participation and mental health. We are fortunate to have this in our area .

Run far away!!!! Between my kids I’ve had to deal with them for 10 years now!!!!!! The bullying that goes on here not only from the students but also the teachers is unreal!!! And in those 10 years only 5 teachers remain still working there!! My youngest has only been there 2 years and has went thru 7 teachers because no one wants to work for them!!!! Also they send your kid to the office for punishment and don’t feel the need to notify the parent!

I love Viejo Elementary. As a bilingual parent, the best present I can give my daughter is a second language. When I describe Viejo to others. I am often asked if it is a private school. Please do not be afraid of the school summary score. Learning two languages is tough in the beginning but evidence shows bilingual kids most often surpass their peers within a few years. My daughter has been at Viejo for five years. Her teachers have been supportive and nurturing. They are patient and caring. The office staff and the principal are always ready to answer my questions. My daughter feels safe and excited about school. She is thriving. The Viejo community is welcoming and active. Some of the school year activities are: 1. back to school picnic, reflections (arts contest), trunk-or-treat/harvest festival, family dance, Posada, Thanksgiving potluck, jog-a-thon, día del niño (day of the child) play date, spring music concert, school plays and my favorite-garden days. The school has a monthly assembly that parents are encouraged to attend. If this sounds like the right school for you and your kids, we look forward to meeting you.

School sucks. Has no regard for students or parents. Principal is never present like she’s the president and sends her VPs to speak on her behalf. There’s no consistency with policies and this for profit school literally profits off these kids.

This school is terrible . Not safe for students or staff. theres is absolutely no consequence added to the kids actions and it shows . The leadership is inadequate and unprofessional. There are only a handful of teachers there that truly care about the children . And even saying handful is a stretch . Do not enroll your children here u less you want to set them up for failure . THIS SCHOOL SUCKS !!!

This school is the reason why my sister is depressed, they kept trying to suspend my own sister who did nothing wrong, would not recommend them for any reason, and their students are failing.

Growing up as a child from Mexican parents was tough because I couldn’t relate to other students and their cultures. I love that SCOTT brings the new generation of students with our culture and language into to their studies and activities. I’m glad my children go to this school and I know they are proud to be dual language speakers!

I have no idea how this school gets such high ratings. My personal belief is that they pick students (like my child) that have very high intelligence but just need help with dyslexia. This is a model on how to make money because then they have a highly intelligent student with “cured” dyslexia that they can present to the world. Not to actually to care for students properly. Dyslexia comes with a variety of different challenges as well. In my child’s case, it is ADD. This is something that a school that costs a fortune to treat children’s disabilities should be able to handle. My son (as a major part of ADD) has a lot of energy and needs to get up and simply walk to the window (as one of many actual examples). In these cases he is scolded harshly and frequently removed from class or I am called and required to pick him up. It is plain as day that they just don’t want to deal with the situation (which was represented to be treated) and want to just throw him out. If your child only has dyslexia, great. They will treat that. If he/she has any other sort of social, emotional or otherwise issues, PLEASE DON’T SEND YOUR CHILD HERE. My son can’t wait to leave at the end of the school year and move on to a better school. Every day is torture for him. Shame on this school. As I said, they are only concerned with their reputation and their cash flow. Period. Oh, and if you’re expecting anything from the principal, you’re in for a real treat. He’s the least empathetic person I’ve ever met. Words don’t describe how incompetent he is. The cherry on top.

My child has been at Eliot for 3 years and the experience has been positive. With any child there are ups and downs in school, but overall there have been no real complaints about teachers, fellow students or learning. I have been able to talk to any teacher or administrator whenever it was necessary and they were happy to get my input and provided what information I needed. My child has made the Honor Roll every year and is looking forward to and is prepared for High School. The Arts program is great, teaching all aspects of theatre, dance, and music, not just performing, but what it takes to put on a performance. The children I have spoken to who are in the French Emersion program love it. The after-school Conservatory programs are full. The only down side to Eliot is that there is not enough parental involvement. A common problem in Middle School, but even that is getting better. The administration has encouraged parent / community involvement and is constantly coming up with ways to get parents and the community involved. No school is perfect, but I recommend attending Eliot to any and everyone.

Pennekamp Elementary School is a shining example of educational excellence, family involvement, and outstanding teaching. It is truly the best in Manhattan Beach, and I am grateful for the positive impact it has had on my child's educational journey. I wholeheartedly give Pennekamp Elementary School a well-deserved 5-star rating.
